Total costs of ownership

The combination of high performance and innovative architecture of COMDOM Antispam significantly lower the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) relative to standard solutions to the problem of spam, particularly for ISPs’ and large organizations.

COMDOM Antispam utilizes investments in hardware several times more effectively than currently possible with standard Antispam software. To achieve the same throughput rate, with COMDOM your network requires a lower number of servers and/or increases the lifetime of existing hardware. This feature limits the need for extensive upgrades as the volume of communication increases, lowering the costs of administrative support.

In addition to serving as powerful and durable protection against spam, COMDOM Antispam can also replace a mail gateway serving the distribution of performance between several mail servers. As a stand alone mail gateway, COMDOM streamlines network management and monitoring, and further reduces the TCO of hardware and software organizations spend on fighting spam effectively.

Ecology

Low hardware demands also imply environmental benefits in terms of power consumption in running a network and its servers. According to a study by Jonathan Koomey, a scientist at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory and consulting professor at Stanford University, the world's server power consumption in 2005 was estimated at 123 billion kilowatt-hours, accounting for 0.8 percent of worldwide power consumption.1 In the United States servers consume 45 billion kilowatt-hours of energy accounting, or 1.2 percent of total U.S. power consumption. That's more than Mississippi and 19 other states.2

COMDOM Antispam consequently helps mitigate the footprint of the digital economy while offering unmatched performance and reliability.
